- celebs like beyonce, janet jackson, ciara, etc relax their hair chemically and their hair still look gorgeous.

- after relaxing ur hair u'll need to take extra care of ur hair for u to get good results.

- the relaxed hair remains like that 4ever. it only loses its gloss with time but will never go back to its natural texture. only the new growth will have natural hair texture at the root.

- chemical relaxers dry ur hair and might even coz split ends or breakage.

- so u have to do weekly deep conditioning using hair mask like kerastase and hot-oil treatment using sunsilk 7 oils or olive oil to keep the scalp nourished.

- use mosturising shampoo and conditioner for treated hair like Loreal vive pro or Pantene.

- use pantene oil replacement to keep ur hair mosturised and glossy

- do re-touch of the relaxer once ur natural hair grows. this is about 6-8 weeks after relaxing

trim ur hair just a little after every 8-10 weeks.

- massage ur scalp with wide-toothed comb to improve the circulation in ur head.

- the cost varies from salon to salon. go to a few salons in ur area and compare the prices and their professionalism. if u have to pay a little more for excellent results, why not? after all its ur hair-the 1st thing people notice about u

well i think you can buy shampoos that cause your hair to straighten, like hairapy and stuff you can even go to their web site i went there once hairapy.com i think. but chemically straightening your hair is risky because different people's hair reacts to those kinds of chemicals in different ways. don't expect for your hair to turn out like a movie star's because the chemicals could cause it to be stringy, or look oily and nobody likes that!

Japanese straightening (also called thermal reconditioning) lasts about six months and is quite costly.

"Japanese Hair Straightening, also known as Thermal Reconditioning in the USA, is a method of permanently straightening human hair. This process is different from that of using relaxers to smooth out the hair. The procedure takes two to eight hours, depending on the length, thickness and condition of one's hair."

hi well i would say go to a SALON (i dont no where you live so i cant say what salons to go to) then you can get your hair PERMANENTLY STRAIGHTENED and it last like 1year or 11/2year and so. The $COST$ depends where you get it from.sometimes its its $100 dollars sometimes $500 dollars.it really depends.i dont want to lie but it kinda damages your hair. it only damages somewhat. ALL THE BEST!!!!=)
