Hi friends..I got my hair permanently straightened 3 weeks bak. I am looking like an ugly duckling now..?

it would be safest to let your hair grow out naturally and curl it with an iron daily if you want those curls but if you really want the perm if would be extremely harsh and you should wait until the last minute before going to see your boyfriend and get it done the day before or even the day of if you can manage that.

What happens if you straighten your hair too much?

I heard that it is bad to straighten hair with a flat iron, but what happens? Also, what hair style cut with look good with a dirty blond with thick, and at parts, wavy hair. I don't like the wave nor the thickness.... Right now it is past my shoulders. I normally wear pony tails, because i don't like it down. any tips?

What happens if you straighten your hair too much?

Any prolonged heat styling will do damage to the hair. It strips the natural moisture, which is less abundant at the ends, which of course produces more split-ends and flyaways. Be sure to use products that contain no alcohols, deep condition on a regular basis, trim the ends every 6-8 weeks, and if possible, use a high quality flat-iron with ceramic plates. They are more expensive, but well worth the price.

There are a few things you can do with your style. If you like the length, you can either get a body wave (a type of perm, but w/ loose curls and not leaving you like a poodle), or there is chemical straightening. I wouldn't reccommend the chemical straightening because it can be a lot more stressing on the hair, especially with you being blonde. they are generally done more on people with african descent who have much coarser hair. Or, you can shorten the length. Perhaps you have too much weight pulling downward on your tresses which straightens out the natural wave you may have. Remember that by lightening the weight, you will have a little more curl and volume than you may be used to. If you do this, you'll need to also put in some layers and maybe even some undercutting. Also, with less hair to deal with, straightening won't be such a long task. good luck

What happens if you straighten your hair too much?

I used to straighten my hair everyday. It is fine, nothing will happen. You may get more split ends but nothing more. Also... It will help and protect your hair if you use a heat protectant spray. I use pantene pro-v heat protector spray. It rocks! Just don't use it toward you scalp if you have oily hair b/c it will make it look dirty when it really is just healthy. I hope I helped!

What happens if you straighten your hair too much?

nothing

What happens if you straighten your hair too much?

it'll burn n damage ur hair... then u'll b left w/ no hair at all... Muahahahahaha.... nah... u shldn't do too much of one thing... its like sweet... u take too much, u end up sufferin... either worms in ur a**... or diabetes... dun straighten ur hair too much... o... try wearin ur hair in bun... or twirl in n clip... w/ those butterfly clips... u know da ones tt open up like the venus flytrap? yup.. use those clips...

What happens if you straighten your hair too much?

Well my friend has really curly hair, and it doesn't grow fast at all. So she's been straightening them alot. She has alot of split ends and it looks kinda damaged (dry).

What happens if you straighten your hair too much?

U practically fry ur hair which makes it frizzy, damaged, and it causes split ends...

If u got ur hair chi straightened what would it look like?

i'm going to get my hair chi straightened and it's expensive. my hair is really thick. if i got it chi straightened would it make my hair straight, thin, and permanent?

If u got ur hair chi straightened what would it look like?

I had this done 3 years ago and yes it cost alot of money. Save your money. First; you will still have to use your flat iron EVERYDAY. Second; new growth is curly, not matter how good the straightner, your hair will grow back.......that's right curly. I found it to be a waste of time and an even bigger waste of money.

If u got ur hair chi straightened what would it look like?

chi straightened? Chi is just a brand of flattening iron. Do you mean Thermal Ionics? I know that's a pricey service and is permanent the same way that a perm is in the curly direction.

If u got ur hair chi straightened what would it look like?

you have to get a permanent straighting treatment for it to stay straight. when you say chi it makes me think of the brand of flat irons, which if you used, would make your hair look straight and thinner, but it would only last till you wash it!

If u got ur hair chi straightened what would it look like?

humm i have a chi and it is just a straightener, it works really well, gets super hot and it will protect your hair

If u got ur hair chi straightened what would it look like?

I would not do it.Permanent hair straightening is very damaging for your hair and just like someone else said when you hair grows back it will be curly ,so yes it's a waste of money.Just invest in a good flat iron and good hair products....

Straighten my hair??

I've heard that even if you pay a lot to get your hair chemically straightened, you still have to flat iron it every few days. Is this true?

Straighten my hair??

yeah i think so

Straighten my hair??

Its absolutely true.

Straighten my hair??

Yes. because your hair will get stiff and it will be curly again if you dont. It will look worse than your original hair.

Straighten my hair??

oh yeh definately...the chemicals just take the volume out of your hair really so if you want it straight you will still have to straighten it

Straighten my hair??

yes you still have to straighten it to make it look silky straight....

Straighten my hair??

You do not need to use hot tools for straightening your hair if you have a Japanese rebonding treatment (unless your natural hair is very curly). These are very expensive.

If you are doing a regular chemical relaxing, you still need to blowdry or flat iron your hair. The relaxer (such as ONO Curl Remover) will take out most of the curl patterns, and will cut down styling time, but you still need some heat to achieve the perfectly straight look. Relaxers are chemicals, so they will leave your hair dry and a bit damaged so make sure you invest in a good conditioner. And you need to trim your hair regularly because of split and dry ends (even with conditioning).. Your hair will remain straight-ish. You need to retouch the roots only every 4 months or so.

Hair permanently straightened... can i go swimming?

I just straightened my hair 2 weeks ago. Can i go swimming?? Will it ruin it?? If i can't what can i do to protect it besides wearing a swim cap??

Hair permanently straightened... can i go swimming?

Yes you can go swimming. Its basically a perm, but straight. My friend has a perm and she goes swimming all the time, you just have to wash it really well afterwards with shampoo and good conditoner!

By the way does permanently staightening your hair work really good, cuz I am thinking of getting mine done! Msg me back!

Peace n' Luv

PS: I added you as a contact... I should be one of your fans.

Hair permanently straightened... can i go swimming?

you can go swimming, but you need to wash the chlorine out of your hair immediately after. make sure that you use conditioner too, because chlorine is really drying. same goes for non-chlorinated pools. the swim cap is also a good idea.

here's a website with tips for protecting hair when swimming. it's meant for people with natural hair, but you may be able to use some of the info:

make sure all your hair is in the cap....put it up in a bun. basicly thats all you really need to do.

I got my hair straightened 2 months back, i hated it initially.?

now the hair has grown a little and it looks little better, however the hair near the roots is getting kind of frizzy..i want my normal wavy hair back..is there anything i can do to get my hair back to normal..the lady in the parlour told me it stays for 6 months..im wondering if if my hair will get back to normal or if my entire hair gets frizzy and ugly..helppp

Use the conditioner for your frizzy hair after you shampoo. You can also use a gel that controls frizzy hair.

If you don't want to wait till your normal wavy hair to come back then go for light perm. Use the big/large rollers. Don't use small or tiny because they make your hair tight and very curly. Or use a curly iron and style the way you wanted.

Good luck!

Leave it.

Don't worry. I had the same situation. Either you can go and get it wavy, or you can do what I did. Be patient - the time will come when your hair will get back to normal. If you do anything further to your hair it could get so dry, it might start turning grey and it could start falling out - you'll never hear the end of it.

Good Luck, and all the best!!

Straightener is permanent. It changes the chemical bonds in your hair. Once all the straightened hair has grown out and been cut off your hair will be your natural wave. The only way to get wave back is a perm but your hair may not survive it so I wouldn't recommend it. and if you find a stylist who wants to perm your hair, run, all they want is your money. Deep condition your hair and use an anti frizz serum. Go and get your hair styled at a really nice salon to get some styling tips from a professional.

Well what I do is strip my hair by using Pantene wash every other day. And constantly deep conditoning it. Wear the wet look no hair spray.

Best shampoo to use for hair which is straightened in a parlour?

I straightened my hair few months back and I have been using a shampoo which is specially for straight hair. It is called Wella. I am not able to find that brand in the place I live in. Is there any other shampoo that I can use for my straightened hair? Thanks in advance.

Best shampoo to use for hair which is straightened in a parlour?

try Chi Porducts, they work really well at keeping hair straight

Best shampoo to use for hair which is straightened in a parlour?

best shampoo depend on the types of hair.for my experience.those people with strong hair, curly or calling them Africa types, shompoo like elvive both shompo and condition act as ant_breakage,Herbal Essences both shompoo/condition,Sunsilk hompoo/condition.but the most imp thing is to study what kind of hair do you have.in this i mean oily, dry.etc

and if all this did not work for you use herbal this, like Henna mixing with oil, honey, egg and black seed .this help to treat your hair since your on straightner.hope it will help
